My Bio
"When Debbie reached the age of 13, she liked it so well that she decided
to stay there," a friend once informed a group of my coworkers.  All joking
aside, I'm usually happy, content and able to entertain myself easily with
tiny, simple pleasures.  What better way could I live my life?

Even though I was born in Duluth, Minnesota, I consider myself a southern
girl at heart..  I make my home in Biloxi, Mississippi.  I grew up here and I
love the people and places that make up the beautiful Gulf Coast.

Happily married, my husband and I live with our 2 pets, a Fo-Tzu named
Tinkerbell, and our tomcat, Midnight in Chelsea.  They're our babies since
our children are now grown and on their own.

As I write this, I am a
3 year Breast Cancer Survivor and feel blessed for
each new day the Lord gives me.  My world crashed down around me on
10/1/08, the day I was diagnosed, but through my faith, my friend's and
family's support, I got through surgery and chemotherapy.  In fact, most of
Saje was written during my months on chemo.  It's dedicated to all the
women and men who battle this disease.
In the past couple of years I
have also battled a disease called Gastroparesis.  Unfortunately, this
condition has seriously limited my livelihood and forced me to file for
disability.  For more information on the condition, visit

Last but not least, anyone who meets me soon realizes that I am a huge
Bon Jovi fan.  I have loved their music since the mid eighties and I follow
their career.  I've even traveled around the country to see them in concert.
I guess you could call me a 'groupie', and I'm proud of it.
